FAQ

 

1. Are meals and accommodation included?

Snacks, Lunches and Dinners are provided, where indicated on the course itinerary.

Accommodation is not provided in the course fee.


2. Do you get a certificate?

A certificate of attendance is provided at the end of each course level. The cerificate lists all course subjects, along with course lecturer original signatures.

 

3. Is JWWW endorsed by SA Rugby or the IRB?

Oregan Hoskins, President of SA Rugby Pty Ltd, has personally endorsed Jake White's Winning Way - Coaching the Coaches course.

The IRB have endorsed Jake White's Winning Way - Coaching the Coaches in South Africa. They have also supported the extension of the Caoching Academy in Argentina, which will launch in 2010, plus focus on development in Japan, African neighbouring countries and New Zealand.

 

4. How does JWWW compare to Union and IRB level courses?

The unique element of Jake White's Winning Way is a course based on proven, successful techniques, skills, mindsets and lessons that have been put into practice by Jake White, Eddie Jones and their team of coaching consultants.

All consultants pull on past and present experience to demonstrate to coaches attending the courses lessons that can be utilised at junior level, through the ranks to national teams.

Course information provided to attending coaches include real drills, practices and lessons from national, club and school teams, of which the coaching consultants have experienced in their professions.

 

5. Do I need to be currently coaching?

There is no prerequisit to come on the course, and in 2009 a variation of coaches joined the courses, from matric students to rugby fans, however a vast majority of coaches were made up of junior & senior school, club and provincial coaches. It is important to note that the course content is specifically focused on coaches and their needs/requirements.

 

6. Is there a minimum age?

No.

 

7. What do I need to bring to the course?

It is suggested that coaches bring notepaper and pen for additional notes. At the course, pens, papers, manuals and other goods will be provided.

It is not neccessary to bring food on the course, as snacks, lunches and dinners will be provided.

As the courses alternate between the rugby field and lecture theatre, it is suggested that coaches wear comfortable training clothes.

 

8. Will Jake be there?

Yes, Jake White and Eddie Jones are present, along with subject-specific course consultants.

 

9. Are there group discounts?

Yes, please see discount structure below:

Level 1:
1 to 4 coaches: R4000 per coach
5 to 9 coaches: R3200 per coach
10 to 14 coaches: R3000 per coach
15+ coaches: R2800 per coach
 
Level 2:
1 to 4 coaches: R4000 per coach
5 to 9 coaches: R3200 per coach
10 to 14 coaches: R3000 per coach
15+ coaches: R2800 per coach

Junior:
1 to 4 coaches: R2000 per coach
5 to 9 coaches: R1600 per coach
10 to 14 coaches: R1400 per coach
15+ coaches: R1300 per coach

10. Can I attend Level 2 prior to Level 1?

It is compulsary to attend Level 1, as the Level 2 course builds in more specific detail on information provided from the Level 1 course.

 

11. Can I attend Level 1 and Level 2 in the same week?

Yes, this is an option that many coaches are selecting.

 

12. What constitutes a Junior Coach for the Junior Coaching course?

The Junior Coaching course is related specifically to those teachers and coaches who have the important task of introducing and coaching children from the ages of 5 years old through to U/12 age groups. The course will focus on age group requirements, training and technical information that is imperative for a successful rugby career.

15. What are my payment options?

Payment is required in full prior to the course commencing. Coaches are encouraged to book their place on the course, by registering for a course. Payment can follow closer to the course commencement.
